“Hold still,” Nurse Judith said to Gerard as she soothed the bite wound on his hand. Gerard Way is the guy you can’t bring home to Mom. He has bad grades, is a delinquent, has a Mohawk, and has a tattoo. Sounds like your Mom’s worst nightmare. After all, he is the Supreme Punk Rocker at Dade High School. “Ow!” he exclaimed as the nurse put rubbing alcohol on his hand, “it stings like crazy!”

“So exactly how did you get this bite wound?” she asked.

“Okay,” Gerard stated, “I was walking to my locker after third period and there was this girl in front of my locker with her back facing towards me.”

“Is that a-”

 Temporary.” Gerard immediately cut her off and put his hand on the 16 tattoo on his neck. “Then I told her ‘My locker’s right there, so move.’ She didn’t respond, so I said ‘Move.’ to her again. She still didn’t respond. Then I shouted ‘You better move, or your head is going to be hanging from a tree!’”

“Then what happened?”

“She finally turned around. She looked odd. She had snow white skin, jet black hair, and she had red eyes.”

‘Red, as in bloodshot or eye color?”

“Her eye color. She didn’t say a word and then she let out a bloodcurdling scream. I then noticed something weird about her teeth. Instead of normal canines, she had vampyre fangs!”

“Fangs?”

“Yes fangs, and stop asking so many questions!” Gerard snapped. “Then she leapt at me, trying to bite my throat. I tried pushing her face away with my hand, and then she bit me. Pretty hard too, the blood was like water running out of a faucet. She tried nipping at my hand again, but I kicked her in the face this time. She then let out a squeal and bit some of my Mohawk off.” He said as he pointed to a spot on his purple Mohawk where some hair appeared to be missing. Then another boy walked into the nurse’s office. “Well, well well. If it isn’t Davey Havok!” Gerard said with sarcasm in his voice. “Aww, don’t hurt yourself. You’re going to have to get over Casey’s death someday!” Tyler jeered as he pointed to the laceration on his arm.

“Shut up,” Davey mumbled.

“Hey, let me see your cut.”

“It’s not a-“

“It looks like my bite.”Gerard said.

“It does,” Davey responded.

“Who bit you?” Gerard asked.

“This weird looking guy with-“

‘White skin, black hair, and red eyes?”Gerard inquired.

“Yeah. I think he was Ian, the guy who disappeared two weeks ago. Who bit you?”

“A girl with the same characteristics as the weird guy. I think she was Carla, the emo girl who supposedly ‘Dropped out of school to become a groupie for My Chemical Romance’”. Gerard said using air quotes.

“Maybe. I guess.” Davey said while brushing his black bangs out of his face. Then two girls walked into the nurse’s office. One was wearing a black leather mini dress with a piece of it tied around her blood soaked shin. The other was helping the limping girl walk while pressing her hand on her shoulder which was bleeding profusely. “Is that Amy Lee?” Gerard pointed at the limping girl. “The Amy Lee? The one who-“

“Got in a fist fight with Hayley?” She interrupted Gerard with irritation in her voice.

“-saved Art Class?” Gerard continued.

“Oh! Well, uh, yes.” Amy replied, clearly dumbfounded that someone admired her because of something besides the fight.

“Who bit you?” Gerard asked

“This girl who looked liked-“

 “Oh, look. It’s Katy Perry! I didn’t know she was here!” Gerard interjected.

“Stop calling me that!” The girl snapped, “My real name is Lacey Mosely.” She said.

“That’s a pretty name.” Davey  said.

“Thank you,” Lacey replied sweetly. “What’s yours?”

“Davey Havok.”

‘Davey,” Lexi said, “are you-“

No, I am not gay,”Davey cut off Lexi.

“You're in AFI?” Lacey asked.

“Yep. Lead singer since 1991.” Davey answered

“Is AFI one of those emo bands that cut themselves and sing about hating life?” Gerard asked.

“Anyway,”Amy said, clearly irritated, “the person who bit me looked like that Carla girl that dropped out two weeks ago.”

“And the person who bit me I think was that Ian kid who was in my P.E. class.” Lacey said.

“Something seems to be going on around here, and it’s not a joke. The news this morning said that someone else disappeared. These could possibly be linked.”Davey said matter-of-factly.

“We should meet at lunch, by the West Tree.” Lacey announced, “And we should exchange each other’s cell phone numbers and email addresses. That way we can either call, text or email each other if something bad happens to either of us.”

“We should also get our bites healed and go to fourth period. We’re twenty minutes late!” Amy exclaimed.

“And I’ll be right here if you get bitten again,” Nurse Judith said.

“Remember,” Amy said, “Lunch at West Tree. Got It?”

“Got it,” everyone else said in unison.

            “Good thing everyone’s here. We have a big problem on our hands.” Amy said.

“And it could get worse.” Amy added.

“By the looks of this situation, people are getting kidnapped and coming back as bloodthirsty vampyres,” Gerard said, “and we need to find a way to stop it.”
